This iconic former hotel, a notable Victorian landmark in Harrogate’s architectural landscape, closed in October 2015 and was purchased by property developers Oakapple. SPX obtained Planning Consent to create 9x2-bed and 5x1-bed luxury apartments, including new lower ground floor space and extensive landscape remodelling. The ground floor apartments make use of the impressive entrances to the three original villas – Richemont, Falkenberg & Felsberg – while the remaining units share communal stairs and lift access in replacement rear extensions.The impressive façade was restored and timber double-glazed window and doors sympathetically installed. The apartments were thoughtfully and creatively planned to maximise light, space and efficiency, and received a high-quality contemporary fit-out.
