LEADHALL GROVE

The initial brief from the prospective purchasers of this 1980’s property was to assess the viability of transforming it into something unique, with their requirements for the lower level in particular providing practical and spatial challenges. The proposed extension was formed in two parts; a bold, dual pitched, zinc-clad element with a fully glazed gable looking out over the generous garden and a flat roof wrap-around extension providing additional kitchen and dining space in two directions, extensively glazed to help natural light penetrate deep into the plan. The completed scheme created a series of inter-linked spaces, broken up with split-levels and furniture to define area uses. The clients were thrilled with the end result, describing it as: “a stunning design that is the envy of everyone who visits our home”.
